The Lin Kuei group in Mortal Kombat holds a significant role in the game’s story, and Frost is notable as their first female fighter.

Female Mortal Kombat characters have seen significant improvement in their designs, and one such character is Skarlet. In the previous Mortal Kombat game, Skarlet’s design could be described as a bikini-clad ninja, which was often met with criticism.
However, the developers listened to the feedback and made significant changes in Mortal Kombat 11. As a result, Skarlet’s appearance in the latest game is undoubtedly much more appealing and well-executed.
Similar to Nitara, Skarlet possesses the ability to manipulate blood and utilize it as weapons, allowing her to inflict devastating damage upon her opponents. In the storyline, she is portrayed as a villainous character with a self-serving nature.
However, her loyalty primarily lies with herself, as evident in her Mortal Kombat 11 ending. Nevertheless, it appears that Skarlet may harbor some romantic feelings towards Shao Khan.
It is intriguing to imagine the potential for Skarlet to showcase her impressive skills and dominate her adversaries in future installments, as she is undeniably one of the most fascinating female characters from Outworld.
17. Cetrion
Despite her dedication to life and the natural world, Cetrion is a formidable fighter who can swiftly defeat her opponents.
Making her debut in Mortal Kombat 11, Cetrion showcases god-like abilities as she mercilessly pummels other characters into submission.
The female character Cetrion stands out due to her distinct fighting style that revolves around keeping her opponents at a distance.

20. Ashrah
Ashrah is often referred to as the female equivalent of Raiden in Mortal Kombat. While this comparison has its advantages and disadvantages, it is worth noting that she shares some similarities with Raiden.
Like him, she possesses immense power, wields ancient artifacts that enhance her abilities, and symbolizes the forces of light and good within the Realms, despite being a demon herself. However, controlling Ashrah can be challenging and she may feel sluggish and unresponsive, particularly for players who are new to Mortal Kombat or have just started playing as her.
She made her debut in Mortal Kombat Deception, which is fittingly appropriate. Over time, devoted fans of the franchise have developed a fondness for her multifaceted nature and intricate persona, both spiritually and in terms of gameplay.
21. Khameleon
Female Mortal Kombat characters are highly cherished by devoted fans, and Khameleon is no exception. Despite only making a brief return and not being a permanent fixture in the game, she holds a special significance.
Khameleon made her debut in Mortal Kombat Trilogy and initially wasn’t intended to be a standout character. In fact, the developers have revealed that she was essentially a variation of Kitana with different colors.
Fans of Mortal Kombat were eager for the return of the character Khameleon in Mortal Kombat Armageddon, despite the lack of interest from the creators and developers. In this game, Khameleon received an enhanced design with translucent skin and a dynamic outfit that could change colors.
22. Jataaka
Jataaka, one of the three demon sisters under the command of Quan Chi, proved to be a loyal servant. Unlike her sister Kia, Jataaka was a formidable adversary and utilized a lightsaber reminiscent of Darth Maul’s to hinder the elder Sub-Zero’s attempt to retrieve the orb in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero.
Similar to her two demon partners, Jataaka has made only a few appearances in the Mortal Kombat franchise since her debut. The most recent appearance of Jataaka was in a story mode scene in the game Armageddon, released in 2006.
However, it would be a shame to let such a cool character, with a unique appearance and fighting style, fade into obscurity. Hopefully, game developers will explore the rich lore of Mortal Kombat and introduce new characters like Jataaka in future games.
23. Kia
After the initial triumph of the initial three Mortal Kombat games, Midway made the decision to explore a different path for the franchise while also diving into the past of a beloved character.
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero focuses on the backstory of the original Sub-Zero, Bi-Han, as he embarks on a mission to recover a powerful amulet for the sorcerer Quan Chi.
This particular game stood out because it was a side-scrolling game instead of a traditional fighting game. As a result, it featured various level bosses, including Kia.
Kia was one of the demon sisters from the Netherrealm and her boomerang blade attack was considered the least powerful among the trio.
Despite this, she could still be a potential character for upcoming games and films if game designers and filmmakers decide to include her in their projects.
24. Tasia
Tasia is an expert swordswoman and ninja master member of the Black Dragon who first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces.
25. Kathy Long
Kathy Long was meant to appear in Mortal Kombat II but in the end, she was dropped due to time constraints. This female fighter was based on a real life kickboxer called Kathy Long, whom John Tobias admired and thought to be a noble person.
