In a recent announcement on X, previously known as Twitter, the remaining players of the game were informed that it would be shutting down in approximately 30 days. This news comes after the game had garnered immense popularity on Steam and became one of the most-wishlisted titles on the platform.

Just to jog your memory, The Day Before was only released in early access on the 7th of December. This implies that its servers have only been up and running for a total of 48 days, which is even shorter than the time Liz Truss served as Prime Minister.

“We extend our gratitude for the community’s support throughout the project’s life,” the statement reads. “Unfortunately, without a development team, we had no alternative choice but to officially close the project.

“We sincerely thank all our supporters throughout this journey and wish you all a happy holiday season.”

Fntastic, the developer of The Day Before, made the unfortunate decision to shut down their operations merely four days after the release of their game in early access. Fntastic recently announced that their game faced financial failure and they plan to utilize the game’s earnings to settle their debts.
