One notable aspect of Final Fantasy Tactics is that its character Cidolfus Orlandeau is portrayed as a warrior, which sets him apart from other versions of Cid who are typically engineers, mentors, or political leaders.
However, what truly distinguishes Orlandeau is his immense power. In terms of both lore and in-game abilities, he is considered one of the most overpowered characters in Final Fantasy Tactics. In fact, his extraordinary strength can be seen as a unique homage to the entire Cid “lineage.”
