This collection features stunningly enhanced versions of the games, complete with a variety of playable characters, refreshed sprite designs, a visually appealing interface, and widescreen compatibility that fans have long been waiting for.
With the recent updates completed for these games, it is now the perfect opportunity to delve into them once more. By utilizing Sonic Origins cheats, players have the ability to conveniently bypass levels and modify them through the usage of level select and debug mode features.
There are cheat codes available for each of the four games in Sonic Origins. Currently, only Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles have cheat codes that enable players to begin as Super Sonic, choose specific levels, and access debug mode.
How to cheat in Sonic Origins
To use cheats in the Sonic Origins versions of these games, you’ll need to press the right combination of buttons on the individual game’s start menu.
Please keep in mind that in order to use cheats for Sonic Origins, you must first enter either Anniversary Mode or Classic Mode within the game itself. It is not possible to input cheat codes on the main menu of Sonic Origins.
To utilize Sonic Origins cheats, access the specific game where you wish to apply them. Once the start screen appears, swiftly input the cheat code when prompted to ‘press button‘ on the screen. It is essential to do this before a demo video begins. Please note that these cheats cannot be used in Sonic CD.
Every Cheat Code in Sonic Origins
Sonic the Hedgehog 1
- Level select
- Press up, down, left, and right on the title screen to access both level select mode and the sound test.
- Debug mode
- In the level select screen, go into sound test. Play sounds in the following order: 01, 09, 09, 01, 00, 06, 02, 03.
- Super Sonic
- In the sound test screen, play sounds in the following order to start as Super Sonic: 04, 01, 02, 06.
Sonic 2
- Level select
- Press up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left, and right on the title screen to access level select mode and the sound test option.
- Debug mode
- In the level select screen, go into sound test. Play sounds in the following order: 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01 , 02, 04.
- Super Sonic
- In the sound test screen, play sounds in the following order: 04, 01, 02, 06.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
- Level select and sound test 1
- After the Sega logo, but before the title screen, press up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up.
- Level select and sound test 2
- On the main title screen, which is different from the first cheat code for this game, press the same code: up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up.
- Debug mode
- In the level select screen, go into sound test. Play sounds in the following order: 01, 09, 09, 04, 01, 00, 01, 08.
- Super Sonic
- In the sound test screen, play sounds in the following order: 04, 01, 02, 06.
- Hyper Sonic
- In the sound test screen, play sounds in the following order twice: 04, 01, 02, 06.
